REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
May 17, 2004 

The regular monthly meeting of the Sugar Camp Town Board will be held on Monday, May 17, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sugar Camp Town Hall.

7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting 

1.   Meeting called to order by the Town Chairman.

Chairman Scott Holewinski
Supervisor Paul Sowinski
Clerk John Bigley
Treasurer Lisa Wales
Mike Kortenhof
There were 7 visitors 

2.   Verification of Agenda posting and approval of Agenda

The agendas were posted at the Town Hall, Sugar Camp Enterprises, Lilly Bass Road and Hwy H. between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2004..

Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to approve the agenda.  Carried. 

3.   Minutes of the last regular monthly meeting and any special meeting presented

Motion:  Sowinski/Holewinski … to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes of April 19th, 2004 and Special Meeting Minutes of March 8^th and April 13^th, 2004.  Carried 

4.   Treasurer’s Report presented

Motion:  Sowinski/Holewinski … to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes of April 19th, 2004 and Special Meeting Minutes of March 8^th and April 13^th, 2004.  Carried 

5.      Approval of vouchers

Motion:  Schoeneck/Sowinski … to approve the voucher as presented.  Carried 

6.      Public Comment:  No comments were made at this time.  

7.      Old Business: Discussion /Action Items: 

A.  Prairie Road improvement update:  The clerk will contact Steven Lighthart to check on the status of the Quick Claim Deed for his property.  Once all Quick Claim Deeds are in the Town will have them recorded. 

B.  Administrative Review Permit application for Jason Sanderfoot

Motion:  Schoeneck/Sowinski … to approve without concern the permit application from Jason Sanderfoot.  Carried 

C.  Hwy. 17 speed reduction request. 

Motion:  Schoeneck/Sowinski … that the Town Board of Sugar Camp supports rereducing the speed limit through Sugar Camp from the existing 55 mph to 45 mph.  Carried 

8.  New Business:

A.     Clerks report- Discussion /Action Items:

1.      Adjourned Board of Review and set new date.

Motion:  Sowinski/Schoeneck … to adjourn the Board of Review to September 1^st 2004.  Carried 

2.      Contract with Schenck Solutions to conduct audit of town financial statements.

Motion:  Sowinski/Schoeneck … to accept the contract for conducting the town audit from Schenck Solutions for $3000.  Carried.
