REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 15, 2007
The regular monthly meeting of the Sugar Camp Town Board was held on Monday, January, 15, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sugar Camp Town Hall.

1. Meeting called to order by the Town Chairman.

2. Verification of Agenda posting and approval of Agenda. Discussion & action
The agenda was posted at the Town Hall, Sugar Camp Enterprises, Lilly Bass Road and Hwy H. by 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007.
Motion: Schoeneck/Holewinski … to approve the agenda. Carried
3. Approval of the minutes from the last regular monthly meeting and any special meetings not previously approved. Discussion & action
Motion: Schoeneck/Holewinski … to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes of December 18, 2007. Carried
4. Treasurer’s Report. Discussion & action
Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to approve the Treasurer’s report with an January 1, 2007, checking and CD account balance of $ 1,046,941.29. Carried
5. Approval of vouchers. Discussion & action
Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck … to approve the vouchers of $ 786,539.32 as presented. Carried
6. Public Comments: None
7. Correspondences: WTA Association Meeting January 18, 2007 in Pelican will be attend by Scott Holewinski
8. Old Business:
A. Review status of road closures and adoption of new roads in the Town of Sugar Camp. Discussion only.
The clerk has the necessary forms to fill with the Register of Deeds and formally closed a portion of Lost Lake Road and Thunder Lake Road which the Board has previously authorized.
B. Review status of using electronic filing for Federal Taxes. Discussion only
The clerk reported that there is a $25 transaction fee each time an electronic filing is done and informed the Board the he will continue filling using coupons.
9. New Business:
A.
Review road improvement projects for 2007. Discussion and possible action
Motion:
Schoeneck/Sowinski … to publish for road work bids for; Thunder Lake Road, Columbus Lake Road and Rustic Lane. The bids will be open at the February meeting. Carried
B. Review crack sealing projects for 2007. Discussion and possible action
Mike will compile a list of roads to receive crack sealing and submit that list to the contractors. The contractors will then inspect the roads and inform the Board as to how much work they will be able to complete for the money allowed by April
C. Consider a bid to repair the concrete slab in front of the Fire Station. Discussion and possible action
Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck …to accept a bid of $12,130 for excavation and concrete work to repair the slab in front of the Fire Station, with the work will be completed by July 2007. Carried
D. Consider a request from the Town Clerk to pay the cell phone and office phone bill by direct pay from the Town’s bank account or Town Credit Card. Discussion and possible action
The clerk will provide to the Board a list of vendors that must be paid early each month, before the Board meeting, after reviewing the list the Board will approve which vendors the clerk may pay prior to the Board meeting. The clerk will continue to provide the normally billing for each vendor that was pre-paid
E. Road Work Report: Discussion and possible action
Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck …to accept the report as presented. Carried
F. Town Hall Report: Discussion and possible action
Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck …to accept the report as presented. Carried

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck …to return to open session and adopt the following items
- Adjust the pay for the Deputy Treasurer to the 2002 rate.
- Accept the Working Agreement for Mike Kortenhof and Larry Bauknecht.
