REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 10, 2007

The regular monthly meeting of the Sugar Camp Town Board was held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sugar Camp Town Hall.

1. Meeting called to order by the Town Chairman.
Present:

Chairman Scott Holewinski
Supervisor Otto Schoeneck
Supervisor Paul Sowinski There were no visitors
Clerk John Bigley
Treasurer Lisa Jolin
Foreman Kortenhof

2. Verification of Agenda posting and approval of Agenda. Discussion & action
The agenda was posted at the Town Hall, Sugar Camp Enterprises, Lilly Bass Road and Hwy H. by 6:00 p.m. Monday October 8th.
Motion: Sowinski/ Schoeneck… to approve the agenda. Carried

3. Approval of the minutes from the last regular monthly meeting and any special meetings not previously approved. Discussion & action
Motion: Schoeneck / Sowinski … to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes of September 17, 2007. Carried

4. Treasurer’s Report. Discussion & action
Motion: Sowinski/ Schoeneck … to approve the Treasurer’s report with an October 1st checking and CD account balance of $ 377,706.65. Carried

5. Approval of vouchers. Discussion & action
Motion: Schoeneck / Sowinski … to approve the vouchers of $ 20,624.18 as presented. Carried

7. Correspondences: Letter from Zmek, read to the Board

9. New Business:

1. Consideration of purchasing a tractor for the town brusher. Discussion and possible action
Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …to budget $35,000 for the purchase of a tractor for town used. Carried

2. Consideration of drilling a new well for the fire department. Discussion and possible action
Motion: Sowinski/ Schoeneck … to accept a quote from Jelinek Well Drilling, INC. the installation of a new well to be located at or near the Fire Barn. Quote not to exceed $15,000. Carried

3. Consideration of a Resolution for Inclusion under the State Wisconsin Deferred Compensation Retirement Plan for the town employees. Discussion and possible action
Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …to add this item to the December meeting. Carried

4. Set the time and date for the Annual Budget Hearing. Discussion and possible action
Motion: Sowinski/ Schoeneck …to set the Annual Budget Hearing for November 20, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. and to move the Regular Board Meeting to November 20, 2007 starting at 6:00 p.m. and reconvening after the Budget Hearing. Carried

5. Road Work Report: Discussion and possible action
Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …to include 3 additional locations for breaker run prep work in 2007 to be paid for in 2008. Carried
Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …to accept the report as presented. Carried

6. Town Hall Report: Discussion and possible action
Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …to accept the report as presented. Carried
