TOWN OF SUGAR CAMP The regular monthly meeting of the Sugar Camp Town Board was held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sugar Camp Town Hall.

2. Verification of Agenda posting
and approval of Agenda. Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck
… to approve the agenda. Carried
3. Approval of the minutes from the last regular monthly meeting and any special meetings not previously approved. Motion: Holewinski/Schoeneck… to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes of September 23rd. Carried
4. Treasurer’s Report. Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck
… to approve the Treasurer’s report with an October 1, 2008
checking and CD account balance of $ 380,818.42. Carried
5. Approval of vouchers. Discussion & action Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to approve the vouchers of $ 28,275.30 as presented.

6. Public Comments: None 7. Correspondences: Letter from Sugar Camp Fire Department to Jennifer Holman, Land & Water Conservation Dept. Letter read into the minutes, copy attached. Supervisor Paul Sowinski attended the public meeting where the letter was presented, he commented that the majority of those in attendance were against the ordinance.. 8. Old Business: None 9. Consider a DNR Grant for pagers for the fire department Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski.. to apply excess cash, not previously budgeted, to a DNR Grant for $7,105 for the purchase of new pagers for the Fire Department and EMTs. Carried 3. Review rules for the Sugar Camp Cemetery. The following motions were made to rewrite the current Rules and Regulations for the Sugar Camp Cemetery: Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski..#11 eliminate the last sentence Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski..#13 eliminate Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski..#14 eliminate Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski..#17 eliminate "or violates any rules" Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski..#18 contact the Town Sexton 4. Consider a stop sign request at the curve on King Road. Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck..to put a stop sign for the traffic traveling East on King Road at the intersection of King Road and King Pit Road, a "Right Turn, No Stop" will be placed with the stop sign. Carried. 5. Consider information regarding a demolition landfill development on County Hwy. H. A
handout listing the current status of a proposed demolition landfill
was passed out to board members; a copy is included in the minutes. No
action on this item. 6. Consider a Resolution for Coordination. This deals with Smart Growth and Comprehensive Planning. Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck..to have the town's attorney review the Resolution and to schedule a public meeting for November 18, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. Carried. Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck..to table further discussion until the December meeting. Carried. 7. Road Work Report Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski..to accept the report as written, no action taken. A copy of the report is attached to the minutes. 8. Town Hall Report Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski..to accept the report as written, no action taken. A copy of the report is attached to the minutes. 10.
