REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
January 26, 2009

The regular monthly meeting of the Sugar Camp Town Board was held on Monday, January 26, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sugar Camp Town Hall.

1.  Meeting called to order by the Town Chairman.

Present:

Supervisor Paul Sowinski 
Supervisor Otto Schoeneck

There was 1 visitors

2. Verification of Agenda posting and approval of Agenda.
The agenda was posted at the Town Hall, Sugar Camp Enterprises, Lilly Bass Road and Hwy H. by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2009.

Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to approve the agenda with corrections. Carried

3. Approval of the minutes from the last regular monthly meeting and any special meetings not previously approved. 

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck… to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes of December 15, 2008. Carried

4. Treasurer’s Report.

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck… to approve the Treasurer’s report with an November 1, 2008 checking and CD account balance of $ 383,067.05. Carried

5. Approval of vouchers.

Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski… to approve the vouchers of $135,955.30 as presented. Carried

6. Public Comments: None

7. Correspondences: 

City of Rhinelander/Animal Shelter

Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …to pay bill from the Rhinelander Animal Shelter. Carried

EMC Insurance/insurance dividend

Notice of dividend for good workmen’s compensation claim experience

Sacred Heart-Saint Mary’s Hospitals/Bill

Claim has been forwarded to The Horton Group, the town’s insurance carrier.

8. Old Business: Clarify that buildings started prior to 2005 are exempt from UDC
Requirements.

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck …that any building started prior to 2005 is exempt from UDC Permits. Carried

9. New Business:

  1. Receive a report from Dianne Jacobson on the Senior Meal Site activity held on January 14, 2009 in the Town Hall. Dianne will also be requesting permission to hold senior meals twice a week in the Town Hall.
 Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …that the Oneida County Senior Nutrition Program may use the Sugar Camp Town Hall twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday, as a senior meal site without charge. Carried
  1. Adoption of “Resolution of Coordination.” Chairman Holewinski will present the re-written Resolution for Board consideration..
Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck …to adopt a Resolution of Coordination as approved by the town’s attorney. Carried
  1. Review participation with North Central Regional Planning Commission and Proposed Comprehensive Planning.

Motion: Schoeneck/Holewinski …for the Township of Sugar Camp to Coordinate with North Central Regional Planning Commission on the Proposed Oneida County Comprehensive Plan. Carried

  1. Review road work for 2009 and approve advertising for bids

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck …to advertise 2009 road work at the end of February with bids to be open at the March 16, 2009meeting. Carried

Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to accept the report as written, no action taken. A copy of the report is attached to the minutes.

Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to accept the report as written, no action taken. A copy of the report is attached to the minutes.

10. Motion to adjourn

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck …to adjourn at 9:20 p.m. Carried
