REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
June 8, 2009

The regular monthly meeting of the Sugar Camp Town Board was held on Monday,  June 8, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sugar Camp Town Hall.

1.  Meeting called to order by the Town Chairman.

Chairman Scott Holewinski 
Supervisor Paul Sowinski 
Supervisor Otto Schoeneck 
There were 3 visitors

2. Verification of Agenda posting and approval of Agenda.
The agenda was posted at the Town Hall, Sugar Camp Enterprises, Lilly Bass Road and Hwy H. by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009

Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to approve the agenda. Carried

3. Approval of the minutes from the last regular monthly meeting and any special meetings not previously approved. 

Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski… to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes of May 11, May 13 and May 27,  2009. Carried

4. Treasurer’s Report.

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck… to approve the Treasurer's report with a May 31, 2009 checking and CD account balance of $ 172,952.50 as presented. Carried

5. Approval of vouchers.

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski … to approve the vouchers of $ 261,663.47 as presented.  Carried

6. Public Comments: None

7. Correspondences: 

Letter from Oneida Solid Waste Director Charlie Evenhouse

Notice from DNR on Forest Crop Severance Taxes paid to the Town of Sugar Camp for timber harvested and land withdrawn before end of contract.

8. Old Business:   

Report on Town Association Meeting held on May 20, 2009 at the Enterprise Town Hall. 

9. New Business:  

  1. Open road bids for Blackberry Drive

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski …to close acceptance of bids.  Carried

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski …to accept bid from Pitlik & Wick for $55,840.  Carried

  1. Consider a Dog Leash Ordinance for dogs on town property

    This item will be put on the agenda for the annual meeting.

  2. Consider a change in road work schedule, moving Ripco Road to 2010 and Spider Lake Road to 2011

Motion:  Sowinski/Schoeneck …to move road work on Ripco Road to 2010 and then work on Spider Lake Road to 2011.  Carried

  1. Consider an administrative review permit application of Thomas Joslin for summer weekly rentals of an existing home adjacent to Sand Lake.  Property located at 5136 Sand Lake Road.

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski …that the Town has no objection to the administrative review permit for Thomas Joslin for summer weekly rentals of an existing home adjacent to Sand Lake.  Property located at 5136 Sand Lake Road.  Carried

  1. Approval of Liquor License, Cigarette Licenses and Operators Licenses as presented to the Board.

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski … to approve the Liquor License, cigarette licenses and operator’s licenses as presented pending completion of all paper work and payment of all fees.  Carried

  1. Grant money disbursement for the school garden project

    Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski …to approve payment to Sugar Camp Elementary School for $661.00 for the school garden project.  The money will be recovered from the Town’s share of the state recycling grant money to the county.  Carried

    1. Road Work Report.

      Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to approve as read, report attached to minutes. Carried

    1. Town Hall Report

      Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to accept the report as read, report attached to minutes. Carried
    10. Motion to adjourn

    Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …to adjourn at 8:20 p.m. Carried
