REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
August 17, 2009

The regular monthly meeting of the Sugar Camp Town Board was held on Monday,  August 17, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sugar Camp Town Hall.

1.  Meeting called to order by the Town Chairman.

Present:

Chairman Scott Holewinski 
Supervisor Paul Sowinski 
Supervisor Otto Schoeneck 
There were 2 visitors
Clerk John Bigley 
Foreman Kortenhof 

2. Verification of Agenda posting and approval of Agenda.
The agenda was posted at the Town Hall, Sugar Camp Enterprises, Lilly Bass Road and Hwy H. on Thursday August 13, 2009.

Motion: Schoeneck/Holewinski … to approve the agenda. Carried

3. Approval of the minutes from the last regular monthly meeting and any special meetings not previously approved. 

Motion: Schoeneck/Holewinski… to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes of July 20, 2009. Carried

4. Treasurer’s Report.

Motion: Holewinski/Schoeneck… to approve the Treasurer's report with a July 31, 2009 checking and CD account balance of $4121,587.88 as presented. Carried

5. Approval of vouchers.

Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski… to approve the vouchers of $61,016.10 as presented. Carried

8. Old Business:

  1. Review recycling contract with the county. A request to reduce the amount of funding Sugar Camp will receive to help offset county costs.

    No action was taken; no contract or additional information was received.
  2. Consider a quote for a sprinkler system and top soil on new ball field.

    Quote was not received, will review in September.

9. New Business:  

  1. Adjourn Board of Review from August 27 to September 21, 2009.
Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …to set the 2009 Board of Review to September 21, 2009, and to set future Adjourn Board of Review meetings to the 3rd Monday in September.  Carried
  1. Set Open Book for September 21 from 1:00 pm to 4 pm and Board of Review for September 21, 2009 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

    Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …to to set time of the 2009 Open Book from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Board of Review from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and to set future dates for Open Book to the 3rd Monday in September. Carried
  1. Review dates for October 2009 Board Meeting and budget planning meetings.
The October Board meeting will be on the 19th, budget planning will be on October 28, with the Annual Budget Hearing on November 16.
  1. Consider a proposed 2 lot sub-division from Tim Bachhuber located at 2970 Columbus Lake Rd.

Motion: Holewinski/Sowinski … that the Town of Sugar Camp has no objections to the 2 lot sub-division. Carried

  1. Road Work Report.

    Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to approve as read, report attached to minutes. Carried

  1. Town Hall Report

    Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski … to accept the report as read, report attached to minutes. Carried
10. Motion to adjourn

Motion: Schoeneck/Sowinski …to adjourn at 8:55 p.m. Carried
