The regular monthly meeting of the
Sugar Camp Town Board was held on Monday, September 21, 2009, at 7:30
p.m.
at
the Sugar Camp Town Hall.

1. Meeting called to order
by the
Town Chairman.

2. Verification of Agenda posting
and approval of Agenda.
The agenda was
posted at the Town Hall, Sugar Camp Enterprises, Lilly Bass Road and
Hwy H. on Thursday September 17, 2009.

… to approve the agenda. Carried
3. Approval of the minutes from the
last regular monthly meeting and any special meetings not previously
approved.

to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes of August 17, 2009. Carried
4. Treasurer’s Report.
Motion: Schoeneck/Holewinski…
to approve the Treasurer's report with an August 31, 2009 checking and CD account balance of $267,155.76 as presented. Carried
5. Approval of vouchers.
Motion: Schoeneck/Holewinski…
to approve the vouchers of $30,968.83 as presented.
Carried
6. Public Comments: None
7. Correspondences:
- Review denial of zoning permit application for property at 7176 Timber Lake
- LRIP (Local Road Improvement Program information
- Looked over new area code numbers for Northern Wisconsin
- Reviewed an encroachment complaint made to the county.

Old Business:
- Review
recycling contract with the county. A request to reduce the amount of
funding Sugar Camp will receive to help offset county costs has been proposed by the Oneida County Solid Waste Director.
No information was received by the start of the meeting. Moved to October.
- Review procedure for selling town property
The
Board reviewed the procedure for selling Town Property. The clerk will
notify the interested party as to what steps need to be taken and will
report back to the Board.
- Open estimate for ball field
The
Board reviewed the quotes for an irrigation system and ground work on
the third ball field. The clerk will contact the preseident of the
youth club to review the information and then reschedule this item for
further discussion.
9. New Business:
- Review a subdivision request from Ferdinand Schlapper for Parcel’s SU-750, SU
782-3 and SU 782-4 lying north of County Highway D into three buildable
lots fronting on County Highway D and 3 out lots along the northerly
edge of peninsula located in Section 17.
Motion:
Holewinski/Schoeneck …that the Town Board has no objections or concerns
in granting the subdivision request of Fredinand Schlapper. Carried
- Consider a request from the Snowmobile Club to lease the town tractor and brusher.
Motion: Schoeneck/ Holewinski … for the Town of Sugar Camp
to lease the town tractor at the state rate to the snowmobile club.
The club will coordinate with the town crew as to days and hours of
operation. The club will be responsible for all repairs, if needed, to
the tractor. Carried
- Review bill from City of Rhinelander Animal Shelter.
Holewinski / Schoeneck …to pay the bill from the Animal Shelter. Carried
- Review cemetery fees
Motion: Holewinski / Schoeneck …to adjust the fees as follows: Cremation lots $450 with the same restrictions as a standard lot. Carried
- Review a bill to be sent to WPS
Motion: Holewinski / Schoeneck …to have the Town Clerk send WPS a bill for road repair on damages they caused when burying a power line on Blackberry Drive. Carried
- Consider a change in meeting time for the Board of Review starting in 2010
Motion: Schoeneck/ Holewinski …to set the third Monday in September for Board of Review, with open book from 2 to 5 and Board of Review from 5 to 7. The Board will also be conducting its regular meeting at the same time, breaking only to handle Board of Review concerns as they arise. Carried
- Road Work Report.

- Town Hall Report

the report as read, report attached to minutes. Carried
- Set Next Board Meeting Date
Motion: Holewinski / Schoeneck …to keep the October meeting at its regularly scheduled time, October 19, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Carried
