REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES             

March 15, 2010

 

The regular monthly meeting of the Sugar Camp Town Board was held on Monday March 15, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sugar Camp Town Hall.

ALL AGENDA ITEMS ARE FOR DISCUSSION & ACTION

 

1. Meeting called to order by Town Chairman:

There were 3 visitor

            

  1. Verification of Agenda posting and approval of Agenda. 

The agenda was posted at the Town Hall, Sugar Camp Enterprises, Lilly Bass Road and Hwy H. on Saturday March 13. 2010.

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski … to approve the agenda.  Carried

  1.  Approval of the minutes from the last regular monthly meeting and any special meeting not previously approved. 

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski … to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes of February 15, 2010.  Carried

  1.  Treasurer’s report. 

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck… to approve the Treasurer’s reports with a March 1, 2010, checking and CD account balance of $ 438,135.55 as presented.  Carried

  1. Approval of vouchers. 

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck …to approve the vouchers of $ 438,135.55 as presented. Carried

  1.  Public Comments:  None
  1. Correspondences:  
    Oneida County Clerk-State is considering making all towns with web sites to post official agendas. 

 Kathan Lake Letter-This is a copy of the same letters received in February.  The clerk will reply as before.

 

  1. Old Business:    Base Ball Field update: prices for watering system

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski …to get a second quote for the water system and  purchase the system with the best price.  Carried

  1.  New Business:
    1. ES&S Auto Mark Contract

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck…to purchase the Silver Hardware agreement and firmware maintenance agreement for $252.00  Carried

    1.  Sugar Camp Clean Up

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski …to support the town wide clean up and have the Town Crew pick up the waste bags.  The town will purchase the bags.  Carried

 

    1. Town Hall Pay Phone

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski …to have the inside pay phone removed.  Carried

    1.  Assembly Bill 546 – Requiring Agendas to be posted on a web site

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski …to send a letter of objection to the Towns state representatives.  Carried

 

    1. Review, discuss and possible act on the following bills; Hr 115, 150, 151, 153

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck…to send a letter to Oneida County Zoning to look at NR 115 and 151 to see if they will have substantial economic impact to our township. Also, to see if 150 planning rules have been met of if there are inconsistencies that should be addressed.  Carried

 

    1. Election workers pay

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski …to pay all election workers $10.00 per hour.  Carried

 

    1. The April Town Board Meeting will be held April 13, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. prior to the Annual Meeting.

    1. Road Work Report: 

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski … to approve as read, report attached to minutes. Carried

 

    1. Town Hall Report

Motion: Schoeneck/ Sowinski … to approve as read, report attached to minutes. Carried

 

    1. Set next Board Meeting date

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck…to meet on April 13, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.  Carried

 

  1.  Motion to adjourn

Motion: Sowinski/Schoeneck…to adjourn at 8:45 p.m.  Carried
